The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Mahanakorn University of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand was founded in 1992 by Professor Doctor Yongyut Sajjavanich (The First President of University Council) and Associate Professor Doctor Damrong Pruksarat (The First Dean of Faculty). The Faculty is the first Veterinary Medicine of Thailand that executed in a private university with main objective of establishing for resulting in increasing number of veterinarians agreed to the requirements of veterinarians for both government and private sector to serve the rapid expansion of the livestock consumption and the animal production exporting from Thailand. Furthermore, the faculty also has services of animal health examination and diagnosis of animal diseases or problems for servings the society of Nong Chok district and nearby areas. The Veterinary Medicine education has readiness for study managements and modern laboratories, such as the laboratory of microscopy, the laboratory of veterinary physiology, pharmacology and anatomy. The Mahanakorn Veterinary Diagnostic Center, Molecular and Biotechnology Center and Animal Teaching Hospital have aimed to support teaching activities and services for social community need, including research activities.
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mahanakorn University of Technology is proud to have helped to alleviate the burden of Government by co-producing veterinary graduates. They can serve society and the nation for promoting animal health and public health up to now and the future. The last three years, there was auspicious period of Thai Majesty King anniversary 80 year old and also our faculty was established with the full 15 years. To promote and exchange experiences and academic researches, the first veterinary conference in 2007 was held and after that, the conference was continuously held all along every year.
